I initially trained as a nurse and then qualified as a District Nurse and Health Visitor. During many years of Health Visiting I had a career break and had four children. Health Visiting then led to my interest in counselling. After completing a short course linked to Surrey University, I trained at London School of Theology, where I qualified as a counsellor with a distinction. The course was in conjunction with Waverley.
I have been counselling since 2004 and my experience includes counselling at Watford Christian Counselling Service and also in the NHS at a local Health Centre. I now work from ChristChurch, Woking where I am a member. Regularly facilitating some group work on Counselling courses also gives me valuable ongoing experience. More recently, I have qualified as a counselling supervisor and offer supervision to counsellors.
I am an accredited counsellor with the Association of Christian Counsellors, and also a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
