I initially trained as a nurse and then qualified as a District Nurse and Health Visitor. During many years of Health Visiting I had a career break and had four children. Health Visiting then led to my interest in counselling. After completing a short course linked to Surrey University, I trained at London School of Theology (formerly LBC) where I obtained a distinction in the Diploma Course. The course was in conjunction with CWR.

My experience includes counselling at Watford Christian Counselling Service and also in the NHS at a local Health Centre. I now work mainly from ChristChurch, Woking where I am a member. Regularly facilitating some group work on Counselling courses also gives me valuable ongoing experience.

As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and also the Association of Christian Counsellors, I am bound by their ethical frameworks of good practice and subject to their professional conduct procedures. I have regular counselling supervision.
